Vodafone Business introduces the first business subscription in the Netherlands with free waste compensation for its customers. This initiative, called "One for One," has been developed in collaboration with Closing the Loop. 'One for One' ensures that for every business user with a Business Mobile Unlimited Bundle, an old phone is collected and recycled in countries like Ghana and Nigeria. This helps reduce electronic waste and stimulates local employment.
Business customers automatically participate when they sign up for the Business Mobile Unlimited Bundle. For every connection, one discarded device is collected in a country lacking recycling facilities. The phones are processed responsibly, preventing harmful substances from entering the environment. At the same time, paid local jobs are created in communities where the devices are collected and processed.
Making a concrete contribution to sustainability
Worldwide, the amount of electronic waste is growing, and only a small part is currently recycled responsibly. With this circular model, Vodafone Business makes it easy for companies to tangibly contribute to their sustainability and ESG goals. Participation is fully automatic, requiring no additional paperwork or costs.

Future and expansion
The One for One program initially applies to customers with a Business Mobile Unlimited Bundle. For consumers, various options are offered to encourage sustainable phone use, including recycling programs and refurbished devices.
