Today, VodafoneZiggo publishes its Integrated Annual Report 2025, with the theme ‘Connecting what matters most’. The report focuses on the company's renewed strategy launched early last year, which is geared towards further growth with a greater focus on customers, robust networks and strong brands.
2025 was a year of transformation for VodafoneZiggo. The company took significant steps to connect people, businesses and communities to what truly matters. VodafoneZiggo invested a substantial part of its annual revenue (21.2%) in faster networks, stronger brands and innovative services to deliver better experiences for customers. At the same time, the organisation updated its internal standards and processes, while maintaining ongoing focus on sustainability and digital inclusion.
Fast and reliable internet
In 2025, over 7 million households and businesses gained access to 2 Gbit/s internet via VodafoneZiggo’s fixed network. This means customers can work, stream and stay connected quickly and reliably — at home, on the move and in the office. Meanwhile, VodafoneZiggo prepares its fixed network for DOCSIS 4.0, enabling even higher internet speeds. The mobile network also saw upgrades with the rollout of 3.5 GHz antennas, further improving 5G coverage and network capacity, including along railway lines. With these investments, VodafoneZiggo responds to the growing demand for bandwidth driven by remote working, streaming, and the use of AI.
In its benchmark test ending in January 2026, Umlaut rated the Vodafone and Ziggo networks as “Outstanding”. Vodafone scored 972 points and Ziggo 961 (17 points higher than last year). Ziggo even ranks best for download speed in the Netherlands.
More value, more convenience
Alongside technological progress, 2025 was all about delivering more value and convenience for the customer. Ziggo prepared for its rebrand to ‘The Everything Network’ (launched in January 2026) and ensured stable, high-speed connections in every home through Wifi Guarantee — supported by WiFi boosters, 24/7 customer service and free technician visits. With Vodafone’s Battery Guarantee, customers can have their phone battery replaced for free for up to three years after purchase if capacity drops below 80%, helping devices last longer. hollandsnieuwe continued to grow and was recognised by the Dutch ‘Consumentenbond’ as the best mobile provider. Meanwhile, Ziggo Sport continued to engage viewers with major sport rights such as the UEFA Champions League. For companies and entrepreneurs, the offering was further expanded with smart, secure solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) and cybersecurity.
Vodafone Business won a key tender in the national energy market to supply Dutch households with IoT connectivity for their smart meters. By the end of 2025, there were already 2.6 million active IoT subscriptions in the Netherlands. Including international customers, the total number of Vodafone Business IoT subscriptions in the Netherlands now exceeds 10 million. Worldwide, Vodafone now has more than 230 million active IoT connections.
From strategy to everyday practice
VodafoneZiggo is placing even greater focus on the customer. In 2025, the company renewed its strategy and ways of working, introducing a new structure and five clear internal standards — enabling teams to respond more quickly to customer needs. A clear roadmap provides direction and focus: the customer comes first, across every brand and segment. At the same time, the use of AI grew. Smart chatbots help both customers and employees find answers faster, and in 2026 AI will be further applied to simplify processes. Psychological safety also received extra attention this year, with leadership training and a new programme set to launch in 2026.
Increasing impact
In 2025, in line with the renewed business strategy, VodafoneZiggo introduced a new ESG strategy: ‘We act responsibly and care to make a difference'. For the first time, the company is publishing a Sustainability Statement this year, in preparation for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
ESG, 2025 at a glance
In 2025, VodafoneZiggo set its Net Zero target for 2040 and was awarded an EcoVadis Platinum medal for the second time. At the same time, the company undertook various initiatives such as purchasing Guarantees of Origin from the Netherlands for all electricity consumption, acquiring carbon removal credits, further electrification of the vehicle fleet, making shops and offices gas-free, and using biofuel. In addition, Vodafone Business, in collaboration with Closing the Loop, introduced the ‘One for One’ subscription, where for every business Unlimited user, one old phone is collected and recycled.
VodafoneZiggo reduced its Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions by 77% compared to 2018. For Scope 3, that reduction is 48%. These figures were calculated using a methodology introduced in 2024, to improve the accuracy of CO₂ emissions data. This makes it possible to set more informed climate targets and take appropriate action.
Anne Hustinx, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs & General Counsel: "Our Net Zero target clearly demonstrates our ambition for sustainability and CO₂ reduction. With a renewed ESG strategy, we are providing direction for our activities and keeping track of what matters most to our company and our stakeholders. Every year, we report transparently on our progress across all material topics, such as CO₂ reduction. Together with our partners and suppliers, we are committed to positive change and take our responsibility as a company seriously.”
Digital inclusion
A connected society isn't just about speed, it's also about equal opportunities. That is why digital inclusion remained a key topic in 2025.
Through programmes such as Online Masters, VodafoneZiggo reached nearly 145,000 children in primary and secondary schools. These programmes focus on digital balance, AI, chatbots and social topics. Meanwhile, parents can find practical support on the Kids & Screens information platform and Kliick, to help them guide their children through the online world. For older people, digital self-sufficiency remains important: over 5,000 participants took part in Welkom Online workshops. More than 700 people were able to get personalised digital support through the Digibus visiting their neighbourhoods.
Financial results 2025
Ritchy Drost, CFO of VodafoneZiggo: “The 2025 results confirm that we are on track and that our strategy is delivering. We achieved all our financial targets and closed the year with the strongest commercial momentum in over two years. This is the result of deliberate choices: investing in our commercial position, our network and customer value, combined with disciplined execution. Together, this creates a strong foundation for sustainable growth and value creation. We enter 2026 with clear focus and confidence.”
In 2025, VodafoneZiggo reported annual revenue of €4.0 billion (2024: €4.1 billion), with EBITDA AL of €1.7 billion (2024: €1.9 billion). The change in EBITDA reflects targeted investments in our strategic plan, including further strengthening of our network. In 2025, VodafoneZiggo became the first telecom operator in the Netherlands to offer nationwide speeds of up to 2 Gbit/s.
Looking ahead to 2026, VodafoneZiggo will continue to invest in the resilience and security of its network. Drost added: “As one of the country’s two national networks, we play a critical role in the Netherlands’ digital infrastructure. These investments are essential to ensure continuity, security and customer trust, and underpin sustainable long-term value creation.”
