Utrecht, 13 September 2018 - Communication is crucial to enable organisations to work together productively in the Digital Workplace. That is why Vodafone is introducing Vodafone Calling in Office 365. This will enable users to use Microsoft Teams for placing and receiving calls on a fixed Vodafone number.
The Teams application of Microsoft is the online location for working together in Office 365. This makes it possible to have more productive meetings from one and the same application and to better manage everyday communication. The connection with Vodafone’s telephony service allows business customers to choose their preferred method of working. Vodafone now offers employees an integrated workplace including fixed telephony, whether they are at the office or on the road. This makes it possible to achieve productivity gains for a larger group of organisations. Vodafone Calling in Office 365 for Microsoft Teams is based on Cloud technology. Vodafone thereby reduces the complexity of maintaining a fixed telephony network.
Vodafone Calling in Office 365 also offers a number of other advantages. In case of disruptions in Office 365 or the network, Vodafone will ensure that the customer remains available by telephone via an extra service, Emergency Routing. In addition, IT administrators will receive a tool to ensure greater control over user settings in Microsoft Teams. This reduces management costs and substantially increases ease of use. Vodafone also offers support in bringing about the change in culture that is needed to ensure that employees can work successfully with the service.
"Organisations are constantly looking for new ways of working together online and offline to improve the efficiency of teams. Communication is crucial in this regard. Vodafone offers various communication and collaboration solutions to deliver the Digital Workplace that best suits an organisation. The introduction of Vodafone Calling in Office 365 is one of these solutions. Linking Microsoft Teams with Vodafone connectivity, combined with the option of our end-to-end service makes possible better ways of working together”, says John van Vianen, Director - Business Market at Vodafone.
“With Vodafone Calling in Office 365, (large) business customers can communicate more effectively and work together through Microsoft Teams. Vodafone can take over the entire implementation and management of Microsoft Teams. In addition, organisations can also opt to roll out Microsoft Teams via their existing Office 365 partner, in combination with Vodafone Calling in Office 365”, says Bart van der Knaap, Director - One Commercial Partner at Microsoft Netherlands.
