Vodafone's mobile network in the Netherlands was again assessed as 'very good' in a survey published today by benchmarking organisation umlaut. This independent research agency conducts its survey annually in more than 120 countries. Vodafone scored 938 out of 1,000 points, making it one of the best networks in Europe and worldwide. In January, Ziggo's fixed network was already declared the best tested network in the Netherlands.
umlaut used driving and walking tests to perform speech and data measurements. With the help of consumers, the actual user experience was also measured and analysed. This 'crowdsourcing' took place for six months via a special app on consumers' mobile phones, for which they had given permission. Umlaut also rated the Vodafone network as exceptionally strong in the latter measurements.
