Ziggo customers in the Helmond, Groningen and Den Bosch regions are switching to digital radio

After television, Ziggo is now switching analogue radio to digital as well

22 februari 2022

Ziggo customers from the Helmond, Groningen and Den Bosch regions will make the switch from analogue to digital radio via cable on March 29th. Currently, about 95% of the Dutch population use a method other dan analogue cable signal to listen to the radio. After these regions, the whole of the Netherlands has switched to digital radio.

Customers finding the switch from analogue to digital problematic will receive assistance from Ziggo. Customers can switch to digital radio in two ways: via their TV or media box, or via a digital radio receiver, with no changes required to listen via the media box or TV provided these have been made after 2010. If customers prefer to listen via a Digital radio receiver, they can buy such a device from Ziggo or an electronics store. However, customers who wish to listen over the airwaves will need an FM antenna, so if you who have a radio that doesn't have an FM antenna, you can order one free from the Ziggo website, or pick one up from Vodafone or Ziggo stores.

Switching radio to digital
In each region, we are informing customers well in advance of the local switching date. Ziggo customers can check for themselves whether they are already listening to digital radio. All the information that customers need to make the switch can be found at ziggo.nl/luisterdigitaal.

Region by region
Prior to the regions of Helmond, Groningen and Den Bosch, Ziggo went region by region throughout the country. By switching from analogue to digital radio, Ziggo is freeing up space on the network that can be used in the future for higher Internet speeds.
