Meet the board

Stephen van Rooyen is CEO of VodafoneZiggo since 1 September 2024. In his most recent role, as Sky’s Chief Executive Officer UK and Ireland and Chief Commercial Officer Sky Group, Stephen led the UK & Irish business as well as aligned and collaborated on commercial activities across all of Sky’s markets. He joined Sky in 2006 where he held various senior management roles, including Chief Marketing, Sales and Digital Officer in 2014, before becoming CEO in 2020. He also had oversight of the markets in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy for 3 years. Prior to that, he held digital roles at News UK, Accenture in London and Australia - as well as 2 years at Virgin Media, working in both Group Strategy and Product Strategy.

Ritchy Drost (1974) has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at VodafoneZiggo since the start on 1 January 2017. From 1 May 2024 - 1 September 2024, he also assumed the responsibilities of interim CEO. Prior to that, he had been Chief Financial Officer and member of the board at Ziggo since 2015. Ritchy joined Liberty Global in 1999 and fulfilled several positions, including being CFO of a former European division of Liberty and being CFO of UPC Netherlands. After his study in business economics, Ritchy worked as an auditor for accounting firm Arthur Andersen for a few years.

Fleur van Beem (1977) is Executive Director Strategy, Insights & Digital transformation since 1 September, 2022. From 1 October 2021 she held the position of Executive Director Digital transformation at VodafoneZiggo. Prior to that, Fleur was a partner at strategic consultancy Bain & Company, advising Dutch and international organizations in the telecom and financial sector. In her role as advisor, Fleur has guided the joint venture between Vodafone and Ziggo, among other things. Within Bain & Company, Fleur was responsible for developing expertise in customer experience and customer-led digital transformation and was very active in the field of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Fleur has a Masters in Finance from the University of Amsterdam.

John van Vianen (1969) has been Executive Director Business market since the start of VodafoneZiggo on 1 January 2017. John has over twenty years of experience in technology, media and telecommunications. He had fulfilled several managerial positions before he was appointed CEO of iBasis in 2009 in the United States. In 2011, John became CEO of KPN Business Market and member of the Executive Committee of KPN. He was in charge of the integration of IT Solutions (formerly Getronics). He studied business economics, specialized in marketing at the University of Tilburg and has a master's degree in Business Telecommunications from the Delft University of Technology. In 2014, he finished the New Board Program at Nyenrode University.

Robin Kroes (1975) is Executive Director Consumer market since 1 September 2022. He has been Executive Director Strategy, Insights & Integration since the start of VodafoneZiggo on 1 January 2017. Robin was also responsible for the digital transformation within the company. Prior to that, he was VP Strategy & Integration during the merger of UPC and Ziggo in 2014. He was, among other things, responsible for market strategy, mergers & acquisitions and market intelligence, as well as overseeing the integration of UPC and Ziggo. Before that, Robin was appointed VP Strategy & Corporate Development and member of the Management Team at UPC Netherlands in March 2012, in which role he was also responsible for Content and Product Management, next to Strategy. Before UPC, Robin held several positions at Chellomedia, including VP Commercial, Operations and Corporate Development. Robin studied economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Barbara de Koning Gans (1972) has been Executive Director Customer Operations since August 16, 2021. Earlier she worked at Rabobank as Director Customer Contact Retail Netherlands. Before that, she worked as Chief Commercial Officer at Independer, as General Manager of Bergman Clinics and held various roles at the ING Group. She's always focused on bringing the voice of the customer and the employee onto the table. She studied business administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and completed an MBA in Switzerland.

Thomas Mulder (1978) is Executive Director HR for VodafoneZiggo since July 2018. He joined Vodafone in January 2012 from Accenture where he was HR Director for the Benelux countries. He led the acquisition of Cable & Wireless Worldwide and the launch of Vodafone Group Enterprise from an HR perspective. End 2013 he moved to Germany to complete the acquisition and integration of Kabel Deutschland as their HR Director. In 2015 Thomas went back to Vodafone Netherlands as HR Director to lead in the due diligence of Ziggo. After completion of the VodafoneZiggo Joint Venture he was appointed Global HR Director for Vodafone Business in December 2016. Thomas holds a Global Executive MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management.

Thomas Helbo (1972) is appointment as Executive Director of Technology since 8 January 2024. He brings a wealth of experience from the telecom sector having successfully led major change journeys. His career includes executive roles such as CTO at Stofa, Group CTO at Tele2 and COO at JT Global. Thomas last served as the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at TDC in Denmark. He holds degrees in both Computer Science and International Marketing and was previously the chairman of the Danish Electronics Industry Association.

Anne Hustinx (1978) has been serving as the Executive Director of External & Legal Affairs at VodafoneZiggo since January 1, 2024. Prior to this role, Anne held the positions of General Counsel and Chief Procurement Officer at Schiphol Group. She was responsible for legal, compliance, ethics & privacy, and the corporate secretariat, as well as overseeing procurement and contract management within Schiphol. Anne has extensive experience at the intersection of legal, strategy, and public affairs, dealing with various regulatory bodies, a broad stakeholder field, and multiple ministries.

Before joining Schiphol, Anne worked at TNT Express (FedEx) and spent 10 years in the legal profession at DLA Piper and CMS. Anne studied law at the University of Groningen.
