On March 8th, we celebrate the amazing women at VodafoneZiggo who make a difference for our teams and our customers every day. They shatter glass ceilings, open doors, and encourage others to follow. At the same time, this day is a reminder that true equality is still a work in progress.
How can we create a more inclusive workplace? That’s the heart of this year’s International Women's Day theme, 'Give to Gain'. When women are empowered, everyone benefits. So, this week, we are turning up the volume. From our ‘Real Models’ gallery to 48 hours of women’s sports on Ziggo Sport — we are giving women the stage.
Real Models: Real women, real impact
Step into any VodafoneZiggo office this week and you will see our ‘Real Models’ gallery. These portraits showcase some of the amazing women who work at VodafoneZiggo, highlighting their roles and stories. "For the fifth year, we are putting faces to the names of the extraordinary women who are so much more than 'female colleagues',” says Babet Agten, DE&I Manager at VodafoneZiggo. “They are trailblazers, leaders, and team players who bring unique experiences to everything they do.”
While many women still face stereotypes — being labelled too emotional, too direct, or too modest — we believe these qualities are often their key to success. “This campaign is our way of sharing how immensely proud we are. They aren't just role models. They are our real models!”
You will find our ‘Real Models’ everywhere: in our offices, online, and on the huge LED screen at Ziggo Dome.
All eyes on women’s sports
The celebration continues at Ziggo Sport this weekend. Following last year’s success, our main channel once again dedicates 48 hours to women’s sports: live games, documentaries and a special ‘Ronda’ edition of the signature talk show. Visit Ziggo Sport for all the details.
Equality in action
At VodafoneZiggo we believe everyone deserves equal opportunities. Diverse teams make us stronger. Which is why we actively welcome colleagues from all backgrounds and perspectives. We are proud that 37.7% of our top management is female, and our pay gap is just 1.5% — far below the Dutch average (6.9%, CBS).
Through our Women Connected network, development programs and supportive work-life policies, we have built a culture where women can truly be themselves. However, while we celebrate this progress, there's more to do: today, 26% of our leaders are women. Our ambition is 30%. This gap shows there is still a distance to cover, and we are committed to getting there.
Equal opportunities for everyone
With the ‘Real Models’ gallery and special Ziggo Sport programming, VodafoneZiggo highlights the importance of visibility and equal opportunities for everyone — at work, in sports, and beyond.
