In the third quarter of 2025, VodafoneZiggo made further progress in implementing the new strategy launched earlier this year. This is shown by today’s published quarterly figures from Liberty Global, co-owner (50%) of VodafoneZiggo. The focus is on strengthening the network through more stable and faster connections and increasing customer value.
VodafoneZiggo's revenue in the third quarter was €990 million, unchanged from the previous quarter. Compared to Q3 2024, this is a decrease of 3.9%. Operating profit (EBITDA) was €447 million. An increase of 2.1% versus the previous quarter. Compared to the same quarter last year, there is a decrease of 6.9%.
In terms of new internet customers, the loss was limited to 18,500. A clear improvement of over 30% compared to Q2 2025 and also the best quarterly result in more than 2.5 years. Proactive renewal of contracts contributed visibly to customer retention. The introduction of new, attractive rates also helped customers experience the benefits of existing services faster.
At the same time, the telecom company sees the number of mobile postpaid customers rising again by 17,200 connections, partly thanks to successful brand campaigns.
Investing in network and innovation
A key development is the introduction of a 2 Gbit/s offering, with which VodafoneZiggo will reach seven million Dutch households by the end of 2025. This makes the company the first telecom provider to make this internet speed available nationwide. At the same time, 2.2 Gbit/s internet speed for entrepreneurs has been realised. The rollout of 1.8GHz technology has also started in preparation for a future-proof network, with the DOCSIS 4.0 upgrade scheduled for the end of 2026. This way, VodafoneZiggo continues to invest in the quality and capacity of the Dutch fixed network.
Customer and brand experience
VodafoneZiggo actively invests in visibility and customer experience through campaigns such as Vodafone’s ‘Oh Yeah’ and Ziggo’s ‘Ziggo Switch & Save”, which connect to major sports and entertainment moments. At the same time, Ziggo’s WiFi guarantee and Vodafone’s battery guarantee offer extra value for customers. With these guarantees and innovations, VodafoneZiggo consciously chooses products and services that meet customer needs and contribute to higher customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Ritchy Drost, CFO VodafoneZiggo, on the results: “Financially, VodafoneZiggo continues to perform solidly. This year is influenced by the decline in the number of internet customers and the investments we make to implement the new strategy. We remain on track for the annual forecast. We see that the strategic plan not only brings commercial improvement, but also ensures technical investments and innovation, including the 2 and 2.2 Gbit/s roll-out, which match customer needs in both the consumer and business segments.”
