VodafoneZiggo joins the Responsible Business Alliance

28 juli 2026

VodafoneZiggo has become an Affiliate Member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), a global coalition of companies working together to improve responsible business conduct across supply chains.

The RBA started in the electronics sector and has since grown into a global initiative for many industries. Its roots in electronics make the alliance especially relevant for VodafoneZiggo, as many of the tools, training programmes and initiatives focus on supply chains connected to technology, hardware and raw materials.

Strengthening responsible business conduct in our value chain
Our RBA membership supports the launch of VodafoneZiggo’s first ESG Supplier Engagement Programme in 2026. With this programme, we aim to increase responsible business conduct in our value chain, engage suppliers on decarbonisation and prepare for upcoming sustainability due diligence requirements, including the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).

Morgane Patris, ESG Supplier Engagement Manager at VodafoneZiggo, explains: "Working on supply chain responsibility is complex. Many environmental, social, and governance risks occur far beyond our direct operations, sometimes deep in global supply chains. By joining the RBA, we become part of a wider industry community. This gives us access to shared knowledge, standards, training, tools, and initiatives that help companies work together on these challenges."

Supporting due diligence and responsible sourcing
RBA membership is also an important step in our due diligence efforts. Through the RBA approach, we can make better use of supplier assessments, audits, training, and shared tools. These help identify risks and support corrective action where needed. In addition, VodafoneZiggo intends to take part in relevant RBA sub-initiatives, including the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). The RMI connects companies across the minerals value chain and supports joint action on responsible sourcing. Through shared standards, independent assessments, and due diligence tools, it helps create more visibility around where minerals come from and how they are produced. Patris: “By taking part in collective initiatives like RMI, we can contribute to improvements closer to the source.”

A shared-learning approach
As an Affiliate Member, VodafoneZiggo commits to comply with the RBA Code of Conduct in our own operations with a continuous improvement approach. We will also complete an annual self-assessment covering environmental, social, and governance topics. Through the RBA-Online system, members can choose to share their self-assessments with selected companies and can also receive assessments shared by others. This supports greater transparency and learning across the value chain, while giving each company control over who has access to its information.

Patris adds: “The RBA helps create transparency across the value chain. Through sharing self-assessments, members can better understand each other’s strengths and areas for improvement. This makes it easier to engage suppliers, address risks and work together towards more responsible business conduct.”

VodafoneZiggo has started the RBA onboarding process and is an Affiliate Member from mid-July.
