Through the Allies project we help children suffering from a long-term illness stay in touch with their classmates, family and friends. To this end, a special robot has been designed. VodafoneZiggo provides the 4G connection and lends out twenty of these robots to Dutch children, helping them to stave off social isolation. They don’t have to miss classes and can even play outside, virtually.

The AV1 robot has been designed by the Norwegian company No Isolation. The Kids and Hospital Foundation ensures that the twenty robots are allocated sensibly. In this way, the Vodafone Foundation makes an 'Internet of Things' solution available to a larger group of children.
