Flexible working: the economic, social and environmental benefits

VodafoneZiggo offers hundreds of companies in the Netherlands the freedom to work how, where and when they want. By using cloud services and digital tools, they not only reduce costs but also spare the environment. In 2018, we commissioned an extensive research into the opportunities of flexible working. Obviously, ample attention was given to the economic effects of working more flexibly, like costs and efficiency of employees and organizations. But social aspects, like employee happiness and environmental aspects like fewer traffic jams were also taken into account. The results will be used by VodafoneZiggo to inspire the corporate world to take a more efficient approach to their way of working. The key outcome of the research is that this way of working can command 5 billion euros. Based on the results of the research, VodafoneZiggo has developed a calculation model indicating the level of savings a company can realize.
