Working with our suppliers
Our Supplier Code of Conduct, grounded in international standards on responsible business conduct, is key to achieving VodafoneZiggo’s sustainability ambitions. We expect suppliers to comply with this Code in their own operations, as well as across their own supply chains.
- Environmental responsibility: actively manage and reduce their environmental impact by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency and contributing to circular practices.
- Social responsibility: respect human rights, provide safe, fair and inclusive working conditions, and ensure people are treated with dignity and respect in their own operations and their value chain.
- Responsible sourcing: take steps to ensure responsible sourcing of materials, including minerals and critical raw materials.
- Ethical business conduct: conduct their business with integrity and transparency, in line with applicable laws, regulations and international standards.
We monitor the implementation of the Code through data requests, self-assessments, audits and targeted engagement to support transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
Human rights and environmental due diligence
We focus our efforts where it matters most by applying a risk-based due diligence approach aligned with OECD Guidance on Responsible Business Conduct. We tailor our engagement with suppliers based on identified risks, considering the nature of products and services, geographic context and supply chain characteristics. We are committed to progressively strengthening our approach to create more transparency and better understand and address risks in our value chain and expect our suppliers to do the same.
Monitoring and transparency
We implement a range of actions to identify and address risks and track progress. We work with Ecovadis to assess our suppliers’ sustainability performance across a broad range of ESG-related topics and to monitor continuous improvement of policies and practices by our suppliers. In addition, we collect targeted data from specific suppliers on key environmental, social and governance topics. Where more insight is needed, we may perform risk-based audits. These actions enable us to steer on our sustainability strategy, meet requirements, and improve our impact across the value chain. Our progress is communicated through our Integrated Annual Report.
Raising concerns and accountability
We encourage openness and accountability across our value chain. When identifying concerns related to legal, social, ethical or sustainability issues, including potential breaches of our Supplier Code of Conduct, we encourage suppliers, their workers and any other stakeholders across the value chain to speak out (our Speak Out policy) and report concerns via our Whispli platform, confidentially and without fear of retaliation. Suppliers are expected to have similar mechanisms in place and to address and remediate any issues identified in line with our Code of Conduct.

Building a responsible value chain is a shared responsibility. By working closely with our suppliers, we aim to reduce environmental impact, uphold human rights and strengthen resilience across our value chain. Together, we can advance our ambitions and make connectivity a force for good.
