VodafoneZiggo supports this with a short lesson on Conscious Gaming from our Online Masters program. This lesson helps young people understand their gaming habits and make conscious choices, ensuring gaming remains fun, healthy, and responsible. Click here to see the lesson: Online Masters.
VodafoneZiggo uses technology to create enjoyment and progress in the lives of people and society. The digitization of society brings not only challenges but also great opportunities. That's why we believe it's important for children to develop digital skills as early as possible, suitable for both the present and the future.
Our free Online Masters program focuses on four key topics:
- The digital world
- Online skills
- Online safety
- Off and online balance
The lessons are specially designed for the final years of primary school and the early years of secondary education. Renowned experts, such as professors and vloggers, introduce the topics. They take students into their digital world through videos. We recently updated two lessons: (a)Social? and fake news.
(a)Social?
In the revised (a)Social? lesson, students meet influencer Deen Groothuizen. Deen stands against online hate comments. Based on his experiences, students engage in discussions. What does this do to the recipient, and have they experienced it themselves? When are comments still 'fun,' and when do they go too far? It also covers how to respond as a bystander to online hate comments from others.
Fake News
Fake news is everywhere. How do you recognize it and deal with it? Our fake news lesson provides children with the tools to become detectives in the world of online information. They explore how to handle the constant flow of information using the specially developed so called 5G tool. With this tool, they will learn to consciously deal with real or fake news.
