Starting 14 November, Ziggo customers can find their favorite TV shows even faster and easier. With the addition of AI to voice control, searching for TV and streaming content is now possible using everyday language. This means no complicated commands or lengthy searches: simply tell your remote what you want to watch. Voice control is very popular with Ziggo customers. In the past quarter, Ziggo processed more than 25 million voice searches. This innovation responds to the increasing demand for convenience and personalized search options on TV.
Ziggo is the first telecom company in the Netherlands to combine voice-controlled search with advanced AI technology. You can search by genre, character, theme, or other personal preferences. Both children and adults can easily find their favorite shows; the search works for all ages and situations. For example: "Show me only DC superheroes," “Find a movie starring Kate Winslet,” or “I want to watch a British crime series.”
Find Quickly with AI
With the new AI support, the mediabox understands not only simple requests but also more complex questions. Technical commands are no longer needed, making it more intuitive to find movies and series. You can also use voice control to record, pause, or switch channels instantly.
Search results are now presented in a clearer way with a renewed graphic overview, making it even easier to choose and discover content. No additional installation is required; the feature is available immediately on Next/Next Mini mediaboxes and the including remote control.
Continual Improvement of the viewing Experience
Research shows that Ziggo customers greatly appreciate Voice Control. More than 40% already use voice control. Together, they completed over 25 million voice searches in the third quarter.
