Digitalisation has rapidly become a key driver of economic growth, innovation and international competitiveness. At the same time, global competition for technology, talent and capital is intensifying. The question is therefore no longer whether the Netherlands should invest in its digital economy, but how it can do so more effectively and at greater scale.

The aim of this whitepaper is to contribute to the debate on the choices needed to achieve this.
