Television presenters Hélène Hendriks and Noa Vahle will join Ziggo Sport from August. The sports channel announced this today when presenting its plans around next season's UEFA European football. In addition, Ziggo Sport presenter Armin Shah - known as host of the groundbreaking YouTube show Ziggo Sport Kick ‘t Met - will get a bigger role and will also be active on location at UEFA European football matches. Football presenters Wytse van der Goot and Bas van Veenendaal will also get busier than before.

From the 2024/2025 football season, Ziggo Sport will broadcast UEFA European football exclusively for three years. The sports channel has the exclusive media rights to the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League. To broadcast the more than 500 football matches per year in a professional manner, the sports channel is significantly expanding its team of presenters, commentators and analysts.

Hélène Hendriks
Sports journalist and presenter Hélène Hendriks (43) is one of the new faces on Ziggo Sport, and at the same time already a very big name in the Dutch TV world. She has more than earned her spurs as presenter with Veronica Inside, the Orange Summer and as a regular guest on Vandaag Inside, among others. At ESPN and Talpa, she was presenter of live European top matches. The crowning glory came last year when Hendriks took home the TelevizierRing for best presenter. At Ziggo Sport, she will present all top European football.

Noa Vahle
Noa Vahle (24) is also no stranger to sports journalism. In 2023, she was named the Netherlands' Biggest TV Talent. At 24, she has more than earned her spurs as a reporter for HLF 8, Vandaag Inside and as an Orange reporter at the World Cup in Qatar. At Viaplay last season, she covered Premier League matches and the matches in the Hoofdklasse Hockey. For Veronica this season, she reports on the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Europa Conference League, and for SBS she goes to the European Football Championship and the Olympic Games. For Ziggo Sport next season, she will travel across Europe chasing Dutch clubs in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League.

Armin Shah
Armin Shah (28) is a creative director from the Rotterdam area. He took his first steps in the football media world at FOX Sports. He then worked at Complex NL, Warner Music Group where he was able to use his creativity in the field of music and hip-hop culture. Shah was responsible for the platforms CONVO and Kick ‘t Net, where he hosted guests from the music and football world. For Ziggo Sport, he has been making the YouTube show Kick ‘t Met since 2023, together with co-host Jefferson Osei, and was seen as a reporter during the Africa Cup in Ivory Coast.

Wytse van der Goot
Wytse van der Goot (42) is, according to many, the best commentator in the Netherlands. He is also a versatile interviewer, presenter and, above all, a great football fan. For Ziggo Sport, in addition to being a reporter, presenter and commentator, he has hosted the weekly football talk show Rondo for years and presents, among other things, Tussen de Palen and the weekly live shows around the UEFA Champions League.

Bas van Veenendaal
Bas van Veenendaal (46) is one of the regular faces of Ziggo Sport. The all-rounder has been the channel's presenter from the very beginning in 2015 and never turns his hand to anything. So he was present at the Handball World Cup, the major volleyball tournaments and as presenter and ‘man along the pitch’ at all major European football matches.

Top talent
Marcel Beerthuizen, director Ziggo Sport: "With so many live football matches, we naturally scale up as a sports broadcaster. Top football requires top talent with us too. That's why we are happy with the arrival of Hélène, Noa and Armin as new colleagues for Wytse and Bas. Together with all the commentators and analysts, they will make it a great football season."

Commentators
For the live commentary of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League in the 2024-2025 football season, Ziggo Sport will deploy, among others, the following football commentators: Sierd de Vos, Wytse van der Goot, Albert Mantingh, Emile Schelvis, John van Vliet, Johan van Polanen, Brent van Ooijen, Richard van Iterson, Joep Schrijvers, Ragnar Niemeijer, Ronald van der Geer, Thomas Schuurman and Krijn Schuitemaker.

Football analysts
Ziggo Sport reinforces its permanent team of football analysts with many big names. In the pre and post match shows, the following analysts take a seat at the table in varying line-ups: Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten, Rafael van der Vaart, Youri Mulder, Giovanni van Brockhorst, Royston Drenthe, Wesley Sneijder, Danny Blind, Khalid Boulahrouz and Ronald de Boer.

Marcel Beerthuizen: "With all the reinforcements in the team, we have the top Dutch analysts in house. All are frequent internationals or have experience at (international) top clubs. We will also use multiple analysts for each match. As a result, we expect dynamic discussions at the table."
