VodafoneZiggo returns to revenue growth

Strongest growth in broadband customers since 2019

3 november 2026

VodafoneZiggo saw revenue rise by 1.4% to €1.003 billion in the third quarter of 2026. This marks the first revenue growth in more than two years. The results follow two quarters of growth in the number of broadband customers and continued momentum in mobile. With an expanded Ziggo offering, including ESPN, and broader availability through DELTA Fiber, VodafoneZiggo continues to build sustainable customer and revenue development.

“More and more customers are choosing Vodafone, Ziggo and hollandsnieuwe,” says Jany Fruytier, CFO of VodafoneZiggo. “We see this reflected in the growth of our broadband and mobile customer base, and now also in our revenue. With an offering that matches what customers are looking for and broader availability, we are strengthening our position in fixed and mobile services. At the same time, we continue to invest in the quality and reliability of our networks, with financial discipline as a firm foundation.”

Strong performance in broadband and mobile
VodafoneZiggo added 11,800 broadband customers in the third quarter. This was the second consecutive quarter of growth in broadband customers and the strongest quarterly performance since the second quarter of 2019.

The number of mobile postpaid customers also increased, with 30,700 net additions, compared with 15,200 a year earlier. The results underline that the offerings of Vodafone, Ziggo and hollandsnieuwe meet customers’ different needs across fixed, mobile and converged services.

ESPN, DELTA Fiber and higher internet speeds
Adding ESPN to all standard Ziggo TV packages has made the offering more relevant to customers. Since 1 July, customers have been able to watch live Dutch football without an additional sports package. In September, nearly 900,000 households watched ESPN, double the number a year earlier. This interest underscores Ziggo’s appeal to both existing and new customers.

VodafoneZiggo is also expanding its reach. Through the DELTA Fiber network, Ziggo is now available to around 680,000 additional households. This allows VodafoneZiggo to reach households where Ziggo was previously unavailable and offer more consumers a choice of internet and TV services.

In October, Ziggo introduced internet packages with speeds of up to 4 and 8 Gbit/s. The share of customers choosing a subscription with speeds of 1 Gbit/s, 2 Gbit/s or more increased during the quarter. This points to growing demand for higher internet speeds. VodafoneZiggo has prepared its existing network for DOCSIS 4.0 to enable this, as the first telecom provider worldwide at this scale.

Investing in growth and a strong financial foundation
Adjusted operating profit (EBITDA) amounted to €416 million, down 6.9% compared with a year earlier. Targeted investments in customer growth and higher marketing and programming costs were partly offset by cost management and operational efficiency.

VodafoneZiggo continues to invest in the quality, reliability and resilience of its networks and systems. Investment was €29 million higher than a year earlier, including investments in network upgrades and customer equipment.

Outlook
VodafoneZiggo remains on track to achieve its financial targets for 2026 and is focused on further customer and revenue growth. The company expects to return to EBITDA growth in 2027.

The announced sale of the passive mobile infrastructure TowerCo will generate €669 million in gross proceeds and supports further debt reduction. Within Ziggo Group, VodafoneZiggo also sees opportunities to make better use of scale, knowledge and expertise across the Benelux and to work more efficiently together.
