VodafoneZiggo receives European Commission approval for sale of mobile towers

VodafoneZiggo has received approval from the European Commission for the sale of its passive mobile infrastructure to an entity jointly owned by funds managed by DigitalBridge, TD Greystone Infrastructure, and L&G.

14 oktober 2026

The proposed transaction has a value of approximately €669 million. The proceeds will be used to reduce VodafoneZiggo’s debt position and support strategic preparations ahead of the intended stock exchange listing of Ziggo Group in Amsterdam in mid-2027.

The European approval marks an important next step in this process.

Nothing will change for customers. VodafoneZiggo will remain the owner of and retain responsibility for the mobile network, including active network equipment, spectrum, network strategy, and service quality. The new owners will become responsible for the management and further optimisation of the passive infrastructure, such as towers and associated sites.

The continuity of this infrastructure is secured through long-term agreements regarding site access and future expansion, including the construction of new sites. This allows VodafoneZiggo to maintain its focus on reliable connectivity, further technological innovation, and an excellent customer experience.
