On the occasion of the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, Ziggo Sport has entered into a special partnership with the Haas F1 Team. The orange logo of the sports channel will be shining on the halo and tire deflectors of both race cars this race weekend. Also there are extensive interviews with team principal Günther Steiner and drivers Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher in the Ziggo Sport Race Café. The popular TV program will be live this week from Thursday to Sunday from Jack's Beach House, on the beach of Zandvoort.

Team principal Günther Steiner of the Haas F1 Team is enthusiastic about this one-off partnership: “We are delighted to be expanding our collaboration with Jack Plooij and Ziggo Sport for their home race. It’s an event with undeniable character and personality – a bit like their host - so we’re looking forward to being a part of the weekend’s programming and for the famous Ziggo Sport logo to adorn the VF-22 this weekend.”

Love for the sport
Marcel Beerthuizen, director of Ziggo Sport, is also excited about this one-off collaboration: “The infectious enthusiasm and optimistic drive of Steiner and his team fit in seamlessly with the way in which we portray and comment on car and motorsport. By experts with a love for the sport, for fans who enjoy everything Formula 1 has to offer.”

It could be a unique race weekend for two fans of the Ziggo Sport Race Café, says Beerthuizen. “Winners of a special promotion will go to the team’s factory and are going to meet the members of the team. This will be an unforgettable experience.” How to win this factory visit and meet & greet can be found the Ziggo Sport website.

Friend of the show
Steiner has been a ’friend of the show’ for some time. He video calls weekly with presenter Jack Plooij in a broadcast of the Ziggo Sport Race Café. In a recent call, the sponsorship of the team was discussed as a joke. Plooij suggested putting his Twitter handle @JackOnTracks on the Haas cars. Steiner then challenged him to come up with a better solution.

Presenter Jack Plooij thinks the collaboration is wonderful: “Our ‘bromance’ has grown into something beautiful. Of course, as a sports channel, we go all out at 'our' Grand Prix in Zandvoort. With live broadcasts from the beach and now also with this sponsorship of our friends from Haas. It will be a very special weekend.”
